Smashion User Referral Rewards
Refer Smashion to your friends and have a chance at winning a cash prize of $100!
This special 2010 holiday season User Referral Rewards program ends on December 31, 2010 EST.
Reward Prizes
- A Grand Prize of USD $100 will be rewarded to the user with the most qualified referrals (see below).
- Two Honorary Prizes of USD $25 in the form of Smashion credits, will be rewarded to two (2) randomly selected users with at least three (3) qualified referrals.
We will announce the winners within a week after the program ends.
What is the User Referral Rewards program about?
Everyone knows that even with all the elaborate marketing gimmicks around, the best way is still with good ol' word-of-mouth. It's personal and sincere because you would never recommend something you didn't like to your friends. Smashion promises to be your serendipitous find and because of that, you'll want to refer your friends and family to our site. And when you do, we want to reward you to show our appreciation.
How do I refer people?
First of all, you must have a Smashion user account. If you don't already have one, sign up now! Then you can use any or all of the following methods.
1. Use the Invite Friends feature
The best way is to use the Invite Friends feature. You can keep track of your invitation history, see who has signed up, and send reminder messages. After signing up using your invitation, they will be connected with you as friends on Smashion right away. The Invite Friends link is also available on your profile page, under the Friends section.
2. Share or post a referral link
You can share your personal referral link with friends on Facebook, Twitter, and other social communities. You can email your link directly, using your own personal email account. You can post it on your blog and send it via Instant Message. Your friends must use the referral link when signing up for Smashion for you to get credit.
3. Wear a Smashion Referral Badge
Wearing a "Hello, I am a Smashionista" badge on your blog or social profile page is a sure way to show your Smashion pride and attract eyeballs. It also credits referral traffic to you.
4. Ask your friends to enter you as the referrer
You can ask your friends to enter your Smashion username in the Referrer field on the registration form. See the screen shot below.
How do I know I've won and how do I claim my reward?
Within a week of the end of this program, Smashion will determine the Grand Prize winner and randomly select two Honorary Prize winners after verifying the referrals per Terms and Conditions of this program. The winners will be notified via email by Smashion.
The Grand Prize winner can choose to receive the cash reward via PayPal or a bank check if the winner has an address in the United States.
The Honorary Prize of USD $25 will be given as a credit for purchases on Smashion. Winners must make purchases first and then present receipts to Smashion. The purchases may be over one or multiple items, in one or multiple transactions. However, the aggregated purchases must be at least USD $20. Smashion will send you $25 via PayPal or a check mailed to your U.S. address.
Winners must claim the rewards within 90 days after receiving the notification from us.
What counts as a qualified referral?
The referred user must activate the new user account and complete some profile information (e.g., about, favorite designers, favorite stores).
Terms and Conditions
- The referrals must be real people signing up from distinct IP addresses.
- Signing up with multiple emails of the same user, or referring yourself using different email addresses, or registering with an email address hosted by a proxy server or an anonymous email relay is not allowed.
- We strictly forbid the sending of unsolicited bulk e-mails to recipients that you don't know ("spamming"). Your Smashion account will be immediately terminated if you are found spamming. Smashion will not be held liable for your actions.
- People affiliated with Smashion (employees, consultants, investors, advisors, board directors, vendors, etc.) and their family members are not eligible for the Smashion User Referral Rewards program.
- Smashion reserves the right to modify, amend or discontinue the User Referral Rewards program at any time, at its sole discretion.
- This contest is also governed by the Smashion Terms of Service and all policies and guidelines that are incorporated by reference.
- Smashion has the sole discretion to disqualify any user for violation of these terms and conditions.
