Smashion Market FAQ for Buyers

Smashion is a marketplace where each seller sets her/his own return policy. You can usually find it in their store description or in the item listing. Many sellers are quite flexible. Just contact them and negotiate with them directly. You may want to ask about an item's return policy before you purchase the item, to ensure happiness all around.

Simply put: you shouldn't be charged again on PayPal since the Smashion shopping cart already includes the shipping charge. So don't pay for it.

It's likely that the seller has set up the automatic shipping charge calculation on her/his PayPal merchant profile. As a result, PayPal adds a shipping fee on top of the amount Smashion sends over. If you haven't paid for the order yet, you can contact the seller directly and ask the seller to change the PayPal settings. If you've already paid for the order, ask the seller to issue you a credit to your PayPal account for the extra shipping charge.

Smashion's search function allows you to restrict your search in just one area of the site, such as the market or the forums. You start a simple search by entering the keywords in the search box, or you can try some advanced tips:

• When you enter multiple words, the Search function returns results that match any of the words. For example, if you enter red shoes, you will get anything that is red plus shoes of any color.
• Suppose you just want shoes that are red, then you can enter red and shoes. When you put the special word and between the search words, Search will return only the results that match all of the search words.
• What if you are looking for shoes of size 7? Try "size 7" and shoes. Note we use double quotes this time. "size 7" is stronger than size and 7, because the quotes require the words size and 7 to appear together in the listing description. For instance, if a listing description contains "size super big; 7 days sale only", it will be included in the search results for size and 7 but not "size 7".

You can also search a user or a Smashion store by entering the user's username or email address in the search box while selecting "People" from the search option drop-down. You don't need to enter the entire username or email address ;ndash; the first few letters are good enough. However, a user's full name is not searchable. For privacy reasons, we don't display the full name or allow people to search it.
