It's good to know that rebonding is not that harsh for the scalp. Well I'm about to set an appointment at the salon by the end of the month but I thought of maybe asking a few friends about the procedure and what salon does it best. I've also heard about this Milk Rebonding procedure. Does anybody know about this too? I'm totally confused.

I agree. Talk to people in your area if they've gone through the procedure and how it was for them. The person in the salon I went to is someone who did my mom's hair and was pretty reliable. The eight hours is an average, I guess. It would've gone faster if I were the only one that day but there were about six of us going through the treatment so it stretched a bit hehe.

I suggest you bring a book. If you have a portable media player, bring a movie. :) A magazine is too short haha.

It's always better to check feedbacks of other clients on different salons just to be safe. :)

8 hours? For real? Oh then it must be something really fussy! You should allot enough time for that. But if the results are much better than the other treatments, then it would be worth it. I'm totally wary about having hair treatments because the last time my friend had her hair relaxed, some parts of her scalp got kinda burned so I'm always having second thoughts on getting mine rebonded/relaxed..

Yes!! I totally agree with you. I even fell asleep during my rebonding session at the salon. It was just too long, I almost want to quit and gave up! Haha! After a while, my friends started complimenting my hair though.. and told me that my hair color stands out more thanks to that rebond treatment. Soo, I guess it was really worth it!

I got my hair rebonded a few years ago. The entire process too about eight hours! Wow. I couldn't wash my hair or tie it back for a week or so, and by the third day, I was so ready to shampoo it. :p

Anyway, it looked great afterwards. I've got hair that is neither curly nor straight. It fizzy, and no amount of hair care products can help tame it. The rebond was the only way that really, really made it look good with hardly any effort.

I think it's great, a bit expensive though. You need to get a touch up after a year or so because it doesn't look nice when the hair starts to grew out.

I've tried having a rebond a few days ago.. from what I know, rebond have lesser chemicals than straightening or relax.. that is why it gives better result. It doesnt look so straight but it's more original, no brittles, etc.. I guess that is also why it is pricier than the other hair straightening treatments.

They help keep the hair straight. Some people are allergic or irritated by these chemicals but a lot of people seem to be doing it and they’re okay. At your own risk…

Is it safe? Does it have harmful chemicals? Well, we put all sorts of stuff on our hair and face, but it would be nice to find out what's actually being used for hair rebonding. And what's the rebonding process anyway?

I’ve seen people get hair straightening services, and I’ve been loving what rebonding does. Its effects are long-lasting and the hair really looks smooth, shiny, straight without being too stiff. Has anyone tried it yet?
