This article is nice and to some boys who all are about appearance and don't take time to look deeper has a rude awakening later in life because gravity will take over. Beauty is only skin deep. I think it is more than your body that matters. If you are uncomfortable with your weight, it will show in your self-esteem and self-confidence. Be happy with yourself before trying to make someone happy. I am a thick woman and I am very confident with myself and it shows and I get noticed for that.

I just learned of a great lazy girl beauty tip. I thought bronzer was only for finishing touches but when I was given a jar of this Japanese brand bronzer, it's become my base!

I use it like regular face powder and I really can go without any other type of makeup (except maybe a swipe of lipstick). Just pat, dab and go! So simple, so easy, so perfect for lazy gals like me!

Wait, now that I look at the jar, it might not be bronzer. LOL. I can't really read Japanese but the cream is a little shimmery!

I try to upgrade my beauty regimen every once in a while but I always revert back to my soap and water routine. I know I should be doing more but I'm just too lazy to do all those meticulous things!

Every time I read beauty articles, they're usually full of tips that take massive amounts of time (like leave mayo in your hair for 3 hours, put cucumber slices on your eyes for an hour, soak in some milk concoction forEVER, and etc).

Do any of you have "lazy" beauty tips that don't take up a lot of your time but you still see results from?

I recently tried this dark purple shade. At first I thought it made my fingernails look dead but then it grew on me! I think it brings out the warm undertones of my skin.

I just recently rediscovered the joy of nail polish. I've been painting my nails like crazy, from blue to acid green to neon yellow!

But one color I keep coming back to is this deep, deep almost brown shade of red. I think it's become my signature color now and I just might stick to it once I tire of all the other colors.

If your brushes are natural (sable, mink, etc), baby shampoo is the best product for cleaning because it is pH balance and won't strip the natural oils from the bristles. A good conditioning treatment for natural brushes should be used periodically to restore oils lost over time. Washing is recommended weekly for best care (daily cleaning is likely to strip them, making the strands porous and apt to absorb product in spots, creating splotchy application). Synthetic brushes can be cleaned daily because they have no natural oils; however, a conditioning agent is recommended or they will split and break with frequent washing. An antibacterial spray cleaner is great to keep on hand for between-cleaning touchups - just spray on a tissue and blot the brush. It is amazing how much residue will come off the brush, reducing the need for too-frequent cleaning which really damages brushes. One thing good to remember when cleaning any brush is not to get the ferrule wet - only allow the exposed part of the hairs to be in water because water causes damage to the wood inside the ferrule, causing it to expand and shrink then releasing hairs once that happens. In short, your brush goes bald! Or at least severely thin.

So I used to never wash my makeup brushes...okok, mini lie. I'd wash them, but like in six month increments. Gross? Yes, I think so now. One day I watched this beauty blogger's tutorial (sorry, I forget who exactly but I think it was Michelle Phan) on how she washed her brushes and I was disgusted by the amount of gunk that was in her brushes. So I washed mine and have gotten into the habit of washing my brushes at least twice a month now.

But curious...should I wash them more often? How often do you ladies wash your brushes?

You don't have to use white or even super shimmery shadow. You can adjust the color and shimmer to suit your tastes. :) I've used white, flesh-toned, yellow, pink, silver, and blue (always very pale, pastel shades), depending on what other colors I'm using on my eyes. I prefer super shimmery, but you can also use matte and semi-matte colors, which are much less noticeable.

Try Merle Norman's Cover Up - it has a spherical powder that lets it glide on super smoothly for a flawless finish, and it covers like you would not believe. I have used it to cover vivid scars (it works on your whole body as well as your face), and it can be used as a shadow base. It comes in several very natural looking shades to match just about every skin tone. I like to mix it with liquid foundation for days when I need less coverage but it has buildable coverage as well, if you need more in certain areas. It is concentrated, so a little goes a long way, and it is waterproof, too. I have yet to see a more effective concealer than this one, and I have spent alot of money testing them. It is not expensive, either - $13.00 where I live, though prices vary as stores are independently owned.

Fun topic! I am more concerned with a natural look (great coverage where I need it but not at all obvious). In that sense, I am a makeup snob because rare is the brand that achieves that goal. I have finally lighted on Bare Minerals Multi-tasking Formula which is not exactly MAC but does the trick - people always ask me if I wear makeup because they can't tell. I love it!

I love wearing contact lens because it makes me feel more beautiful and confident. Haha.. but mine are corrective contact lens because I’m a near sighted person. I don’t wear them everyday coz they make me feel itchy. Contact lens cannot be worn for more that 3 hours because they can cause temporary vision disturbances.

I was able to try the Lola by Marc Jacobs fragrance previously and I loved its scent. I wonder if this new Oh! Lola fragrance is just as good? It's supposedly the younger version of it but I'm not sure what that means... is it sweeter? Fresher? Just comes in cuter packaging?

I have Asian skin and it's been really hard to find a foundation that has my skin color. For the past five years, I've been using L'Oreal's Tru Match foundation in W3 or W4. It's great and it totally complements my skin color. However, in high humidity days, it gets oily and that's the only down side I've found.

My hair is horribly curly, dry and baby fine - the worst combination. I wash it once a week, always deep condition, then blow dry at the roots only - just for a few seconds at each section, long enough to help shape it. Then I let it air dry. This helps the curls relax without overdrying. I agree that using too many heat tools is very damaging to hair so I have learned to use them minimally with good results. They do serve a good purpose when used wisely.

I was a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding, and while having my hair fixed I asked the hairdresser if she recommended blow-drying hair on a regular basis. Especially if your hair is the type that doesn't really have a shape, like if it's all over the place. I remember having someone teach me how to straighten my hair with a blow-dryer and it looked fab. I want that effect everyday but I know that too much heat can destroy my hair (it's bad enough as it is).

My makeup fades/ turns dark after a few minutes. For instance, I put a certain concealer under my eyes and it looks like it does the job well. But after a few minutes, it’s as if the concealer just changed color and it no longer covers the color, although I can still see the concealer right there! It hasn’t smudged or anything, if that’s what you’re thinking, because it “fades” in under a minute. What does that mean?

I know I'm not supposed to share things like my makeup brushes, tweezers, razors for sanitary reasons, but what about makeup? Maybe it's ok to share with friends if I don't have sensitive skin? I am admittedly a make-up virgin --- in the sense that I don't really use it myself. I've had people put make-up on me during events like weddings or debuts, but when it comes to me applying it myself, it's a no go. A friend recently gave me some e.l.f cosmetics, and I want to try them, I'm so used to not wearing them that I'm quite scared to even start.

Any suggestions for someone like me? I'd prefer a minimalist, barely there look for going out.

I've shopped at Muji stores a few times but for things that are being marketed as brandless, they sure are expensive!

I love the clean, simple storage bins, cases, travel packs, bags and etc. from Muji though. They're what I buy when I go there. Not very much sold on their clothes but I imagine they'd have good quality basics like shirts, tank tops and maybe even jeans.

Can anyone recommend a good lightweight sunscreen? I know that we're supposed to wear sunscreen even when we're indoors and just sitting in front of our computers but I really do not like the heavy, icky, sticky feeling.

Is there something out there that doesn't make your skin look shiny but still provides a good amount of coverage? Something inexpensive would be nice too.

I only wear lip colours when I'm going out on events and such. Most of the time I stick to lip gloss, although I do have this tinted lipbalm which my boyfriend calls "warpaint" since I wear it most of the time. Hehe.

Women mostly have trouble with choosing the right lip colour. Women with darker skin tones should choose a one tone lighter lipcolour, wheras women with lighter skin tones should go for darker hues. Specially if one is going out at night than the person should go for something that is dark,glittery and glossy. It also depends on the occasion as to what lipcolour one should wear.

I use Neutrogena Deep Clean. I hardly use moisturizer, but lately I've been trying Maybelline's BB Cream, which works as both moisturizer & cover-up for me. I don't use it at night though.

My new FAV is the Hot Lashes heated 2 pc lash curler. It has gotten great reviews at Amazon--Cult favorite Hot Lashes Makeup artist Kit..Absolute best..

They have a great sturdy 24K gold metal curler similiar to the Shu Uemura and Sheisdo one that comes with its own seperate pink small heater base that heats just the pad in the curler, this way my curl really lasts.

I love scents and perfumes! I mix it up some days.. some days I will wear Glow by JLO (i know old school lol) and some days I will wear Lola by Marc Jacobs or Angel by Victoria Secret. Scents definitely make a person more stylish!

Do you believe that being fragrant is stylish? I personally believe that if a person smells good, it has a good effect on how other people will accept you and it also makes you look better.

Yes it's true on winter we normally use dark colors do that our face won't be so pale. We should know what to use every seasons we have so we will not be hard up :)

they consider the cherry blossom scent sexy. but if you dont like it, i have another recommendation... if you want something fruity, try sweet pea. BBW consider that scent romance/romantic.

I've been trying to find a shower bath gel and lotion that smell of either almonds or cantaloupe. I don't know what brands have either almond-scented or melon-scented lotion and bath gels! If anyone knows of any good brands that won't break the band, I'd appreciate the help! :)

My friend tried Mineral Make up and he told me it's nice. It will not harm your skin and I can say it's really safe because my friend face is still very nice to look at :) It will not harm you if you just try it ;)

In the past few months, a lot of cosmetics companies are coming out with their own mineral make-up line. Most of these are organic and use all natural ingredients. Many mineral make-ups are in loose powder form because of the lack of mineral oil that helps pack the powder into compacts or containers.

Mineral, or in this case, organic, make-up is popular now because of the absence of ingredients that cause women to break out or cause allergies. I was surprised to learn that many of the ingredients in regular make-up aren't good for you! Stuff like mineral oil, alcohol, carmine (in lipstick mostly) and even talc aren't advisable! Wow.

I've seen some mineral make-up from the Body Shop, Etude House (a Korean brand) and Human Heart Nature. Have you tried those or any brand? I'm not much into make-up really, so I'd love to hear your feedback. :)

I read about ME! Bath's Shower Sherbets and I'm just wondering if anyone here has ever tried it. It's a sugar-based body scrub, but it's $28 for a 16 oz tub. They make it sound so nice on their site (lol, duh!) but I don't want to waste money so if anyone's used it, I'd love feedback!

I agree on what you said, that's really true if the color did not match your skin tone your hair dye will not look great you will realize you want to change the color again because your not comfortable with the color thet you pick ;)

If I really wanted to try this process out, I would try the Dove first and see if it actually works. Everyone is right, Dove would be way cheaper than going to see a dermo first. If you find the Dove doesn't work, I'm sure they have a money back guarantee and then you can go to a dermo to see what they can do for you.

They made a product with special moisturizers that will supposedly make armpits look better in 5 days. It's called the Dove's Go Sleeveless deodorant.

One of the things I consider when it comes to my hair style is if my hairy type will be able to work with it. I've got wavy hair and it doesn't have a specific shape.

Paris' hair is nice though. If it fits your face shape and your hair is easy to tame, go for it!

I've always wondered this, and aside from what all the marketing and ads tell us...does the more expensive shampoo get our hair cleaner? I've read articles that say shampoos that give you more suds are worse than shampoos with less suds because it's "so powerful", and the more sudsy shampoo will stripe your hair of all its natural oils (and then it'll look limp and lifeless). What do you gals think? What kind of shampoo do you currently use?

Not very much. I've heard of so many horror stories where people paid top dollar for a haircut from a famous stylist but got subpar results.

I go by instinct mostly. If I feel like the hairstylist is too distracted or his/her style doesn't match with mine, I go somewhere else. But I have one person I always go to and she's never failed me before!

Bangs or fringe is one of the addition to the hair styles and is considered to flatter different types of face shapes. Have you got bangs or fringe? If not, would you consider getting it for yourself?

I have had bangs before and I am thinking about getting it again. It's pretty chic and as for me, it never goes out of style.
