They do claim to have plus size models but the sizes they consider as plus are like sizes 8 and 10 which are still smaller sizes (the sizes you are refering to marilynjacobs?). Actual Plus size is anything 14 and up but that number just keeps getting smaller every few years. So I guess any woman that is actually a plus size of 14 or bigger must be grossly obese and not worth photographing to the modeling industry? That's what they imply anyway since they photograph women in a size 8 or 10 and call them plus sized.

I also cannot understand why those really thin fashion designers & models on TV will treat a girl like crap and call her grossly fat because she wears a size 6 which they considered to be big???? That's not big at all. It's the perfect size without being too thin. I got really big after I had my little girl and it took me 3 years to lose all of that weight again so, I know what I feels like to be considered the "fat" girl.

Yes, fashion can be cheap. And maybe it’s a bold thing for someone to wear just Walmart clothes. But I think it’s also a bit of snobbery in a way. It’s also just like people refusing to wear cheap clothes simply because they cost cheap. We should be able to wear anything, expensive or affordable, as long as we can afford them. We shouldn’t shun one or the other because of their prices, yes?

I think she's doing a good job! She and her friends are the models and I love how they're all smiley in the pictures and don't do the typical look-away pose that fashion bloggers love to do. LOL

I've been reading this blog since it first started in late 2009. This girl did a sort of "Julie & Julia" thing by buying thrift clothes for $1 and re-making them into really amazing clothes. She did it for one year and with a budget of $365. It's been an amazing journey and though the year's over, she's not done re-making clothes.
