What do you do when you're not blogging? What is your job?

Mary: At the moment I am studying International Marketing Management in the Netherlands and I love it. Fashion has always been a big passion in my life that’s why I will start studying Fashion Marketing next semester.

How would you describe your personal style?

Mary: My style is chic with an edgy twist; I like e.g. combining silk or chiffon fabrics with black leather. I love adding little details to casual outfits and sometimes I enjoy wearing really extraordinary pieces.

What is your fantasy splurge?

Mary: There are many… At the moment I would love to have a Céline classic box bag.

Where are you from and what are your top three favorite places to shop in your city?

Mary: I moved to the Netherlands 3 years ago. Amsterdam is a great city to shop: I adore the store Nummer 9 at the Prinsengracht and a shop called Shoobaloo which has great (designer) deals during sale season. There is an area called “9 straatjes” (9 little streets) which is perfect for a shopping stroll

Mary: 1. I love to play Pokémon on an old Gameboy. 2. I am obsessed with nail polishes and lipsticks. 3. I put one particular salad sauce which I bring from Switzerland on everything I eat,.

What inspires you?

Mary: Street style photos, fashion blogs and picture books about Brigitte Bardot inspire me when I’m seeking fashion inspiration.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Mary: (Online) shoe shopping. I am addicted to high heels.

What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?

Mary: I’m a real summer girl; I enjoy barbequing with friends, lying in the park and enjoying the sun and of course I love summer sale!

What's your favorite animal?

Mary: Strangely, my favorite animals are moose. I know they’re huge but I think they’re kind of cute.

Mary: … am really, really afraid of frogs and totes. I am literally getting a panic attack when I see one.

If I could escape to any time and place, I would go to...

Mary: I’d escape to Paris in the early 1920’s to absorb the atmosphere and charm of that beautiful city.
