An Interview with Cecilia of Dearest Lou

Hello lovely Smashion readers, my name is Cecilia and I’m the girl behind Dearest Lou. I blog about thrifty fashion, newlywed life, and about things I find humorous.  I do a link up party on Thursdays called Thrifty Thursdays so that bloggers all over the blog world can see all of the amazing things that were thrifted that week in the blog world. I’m very thrifty because I don’t believe anyone needs to spend a lot of money to look fashionable.

This interview was published on Monday, June 04, 2012.

What do you do when you're not blogging? What is your job?

Cecilia: I thrift, do arts and crafts, and spend time with friends and family.

How would you describe your personal style?

Cecilia: I would describe my style as eccentric, vintage, and always modest. I've thrifted ever since I was a child and I love the feeling I get when I find a good deal. It's so hard for me to spend more than $30 on one piece of clothing.

What is your nerdiest hobby?

Cecilia: I play Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay with my husband and some of his buddies at least twice a week.

Where are you from and what are your top three favorite places to shop in your city?

Cecilia: I'm from Salt Lake City, UT but currently residing in Provo, UT with my husband. My three favorite places to shop are Savers, Ross, and Forever 21.

3 fun facts about you:

Cecilia: 1. I'm very outgoing and love to have a good time 2. I suck at cooking but I'm working on it 3. I have a little secret I'm going to announce at the end of the month (;

What are you currently grooving to?

Cecilia: Time is running out- Muse

Biggest style splurge and/or deal:

Cecilia: Biggest style deal: Anything I buy under $6 at a thrift store.

What do you think is the hardest part about blogging?

Cecilia: The hardest part about blogging is starting a blog. If you are contemplating starting a blog I highly suggest you do so! It's so fun to look back at previous posts and see how much you've grown as a blogger.

What is the most rewarding part?

Cecilia: The most rewarding part about blogging is having readers comment or email you letting you know you've inspired them in some way.

What 5 items do you always have in your purse?

Cecilia: 1. Phone 2. Keys 3. Lipstick 4. Wallet 5. A mini notebook and pen

If you could have one wish granted, what would it be?

Cecilia: I would wish for the power of teleportation so I wouldn't miss any important events that happen in loved ones lives.

What crazy activities do you dream of trying someday?

Cecilia: I would absolutely love to try sky diving even though I don't know if I have enough courage to jump off anything over 20 feet high! I would also love to visit Japan with my husband and see all of the places he visited while living there.
