An Interview with Nana of Nana Stars*

I first started blogging in order to improve my English, but I'm enjoying blogging to express myself through my style now. I love sharing inspirations with my blogger friends. I always hope that I will make someone smile with my blog, and want to share friendly fashion from local Japan. Please come hello at Nana Stars*!

This interview was published on Tuesday, April 03, 2012.

How would you describe your personal style?

Nana: My style is a mix of casual and romantic, maybe? It's hard to describe it actually. I am always trying to be simple & clean yet different. I love adding a little of uniqueness into a basic style and enjoy colors in whatever mood I’m in for that day.

Which label dominates your closet?

Nana: It's hard to tell. Let’s just say that many items in my mom's closet have transferred to my closet recently. Haha.

Who is/are your favorite shoe designer(s)?

Nana: I don't have a specific favorite designer. My shoes are mostly from Japanese brands. I love Nine West, too.

Where are you from and what are your top three favorite places to shop in your city?

Nana: I'm from Japan, Aichi Prefecture where I've lived all my life. My favorite places are Natural Beauty Basic for trends, Tomorrowland for elegance, and Uniqlo for casual looks.

What are the most prominent colors in your wardrobe?

Nana: Blue and pink. It's colorful! :)

What inspires you?

Nana: Art, nature and bloggers around the world.

In your opinion, every woman should own:

Nana: A silk scarf. It's one of my favorite accessories. It makes you look elegant and keeps you warm in a cold day.

Three things that are always in my fridge:

Nana: Chocolate, pure fruit/vegetable juice and natto.

People would be surprised to know that I...

Nana: played tennis and handball when I was a student. Nobody pictures me belonging to an athletic club. I don't do these sports anymore but now I love dancing.

What's your latest obsession?

Nana: Anything in pastel colors. Taking photos of flowers. It's the best season in Japan now.

Your favorite place you have traveled to? Why?

Nana: London. I love the historical buildings, entertainment and the atomosphere there. I just can't get enough of visiting galleries in London.

If I could escape to any time and place, I would go to...

Nana: Paris! I've never been to Paris, and I've dreamed of visiting for ages.
