An Interview with Cheyenne of Yeah Its Shyy
My name's Cheyenne and I run a fashion blog called 'Yeah Its Shyy'. I started my blog because I really wanted to work in the fashion industry and it seemed as if sending out countless emails wasn't getting me anywhere. I've been blogging for just over a year, and since then I've managed to style two women's lookbooks for Adidas, style for the likes of RWD, EXIT and DIY magazine, and I also became the presenter for an online fashion and music channel called repvdo.
What do you do when you're not blogging? What is your job?
Cheyenne: When I'm not blogging, I'm either presenting for an online fashion/music channel called Repvdo, or styling fashion shoots.
How would you describe your personal style?
Cheyenne: My personal style is influenced heavily by my mum. When she was younger she had such a great sense of style, so I look up to her when it comes to fashion. I'd say it's a mix of girly streetwear? If that makes sense. I'm always rocking a pair of trainers... thats my little 'thing'
Where are you from and what are your top three favorite places to shop in your city?
Cheyenne: I'm from South East London, and I love shopping in Topshop, Footlocker and H&M.
What are you currently grooving to?
Cheyenne: Asap Rocky's mixtape Live Love Asap!!! Best mixtape I've heard, literally I listen to it every day, I'm a massive fan of that due.
How are you able to stay fashionable without spending a lot of $$? What are your tips and where do you shop?
Cheyenne: You just have to buy things that are versatile, and that can be paired with lots of other clothes, that way you can keep recreating different looks with one staple piece. I manage to save a lot of money due to the fact I always raid my mums wardrobe! Haha sorry mum.
In your opinion, every woman should own:
Cheyenne: a pair of trainers. Comfort!
One trend you would like to never see again is:
Cheyenne: granny chic!!!!
Three things that are always in my fridge:
Cheyenne: Tomatos, Chocolate and cheese. Random right?
What's your favorite animal?
Cheyenne: I love those lil cats that actually look like leopards. Can't remember what they're called though, but their so adorable!
What is your favorite thing to do on a lazy Sunday?
Cheyenne: I normally film on a sunday with the repvdo guys, but after I'll go to the chippy grab a saveloy and chips, pig out on chocolate and blog :)
What's the oldest thing you're wearing today? Is there a story behind it?
Cheyenne: the oldest thing I'm wearing today is my mums vintage denim waistcaot, the story behind it? I kinda took it our her wardrobe without her knowing lol
Best pick-me-up(s):
Cheyenne: I've lost my phone number, can I borrow yours? haaa pure cheese.
