What do you do when you're not blogging? What is your job?

Dawn: I have a fun job! I am an activities associate at an assisted living home. I love the elderly and do my best to make sure they are safe and have lots of fun. This includes Bingo night where we play for candy store coupons and movie night where we watch episodes of the Golden Girls. All about fun!

How did you come up with your blog name?

Dawn: I recieved a red, vintage suitcase as a gift and began making vignettes by arranging thrift store items in the suitcase to create different themes. I love vintage suitcases and this is a perfect way to be creative and utilize my thrifted finds Besides,suitcases represent cute outfits for travel.

What label(s)/store(s) do you favor?

Dawn: I visit the Goodwill about twice a month, I love to thrift shop for vintage clothing and accessories. I don't shop the labels, I shop the material and if it is good fabric then I check the label. If it happens to be a good name then lucky for me. It usually is a good name, I have trained my eyes.

What is your favorite city to shop in?

Dawn: I love to shop in Philadelphia, Pa. They have an Anthropologie store that is 4 floors of glorious inspiration and artfully designed displays that will blow you away. I go there as a treat for myself and purchase one favorite thing that I can't leave without.

Great fashion steal:

Dawn: Chanel, black knit dress $5.99 at Goodwill. I wore it one New Year's Eve, nobody knew it was Chanel but me. It felt so good!

In your opinion, every woman should own:

Dawn: Good, quality accessories. You can dress up your ripped jeans but you can't dress up a tattered handbag and broken down heels.

A woman's most beautiful feature is her:

Dawn: ability to comliment another woman, sincerely.

One trend you would like to never see again is:

Dawn: Mom jeans...sorry but they are so unflattering.

What 5 items do you always have in your purse?

Dawn: lip gloss, too many receipts and papers, hand sanitizer, hair clip, mini bible from 1948 that I found at the thrift store.

4 things you can't live without:

Dawn: Coffee, lip gloss or lipstick, thrift store shopping, my rescue cat Timothy Winter...maybe I should have included my husband in this one...

What's your latest obsession?

Dawn: stripes and florals. I just made the biggest and best thrift haul for Spring at the Goodwill and I can't wait to style my purchases.
