An Interview with Elle of ELLESAPPELLE

Hi I’m Elle and I run the fashion blog ELLESAPPELLE. I’m a twenty something girl from England starting out in the fashion industry. My blog is where I document my style inspirations and aspirations.  I hope you’ll check it out and be inspired too!

This interview was published on Thursday, March 01, 2012.

What do you do when you're not blogging? What is your job?

Elle: I’m a fashion intern! Out to learn as much as I can about the industry. I’m just finishing a placement at Condé Nast assisting one of the fashion editors.

Who is/are your favorite shoe designer(s)?

Elle: Charlotte Olympia, I think her designs are really fun.

What label(s)/store(s) do you favor?

Elle: Stella McCartney has always been a favorite of mine & I love Celine, Chloe, Calvin Klein & The Row. Sadly they are a little out of my price range right now so I stick to the high street...Zara & Cos are my go-to brands.

What are the most prominent colors in your wardrobe?

Elle: 80% of my wardrobe is black, the rest consists of neutrals. Maybe this could be the year that I introduce a bit more colour into my life?

Favorite item of clothing in your closet:

Elle: Tough one. I’ve been wearing my black fur vest a lot this winter and I guess anything with a Breton stripe.

Biggest style splurge and/or deal:

Elle: My biggest splurge was probably my Mulberry Bayswater bag. As for the best deal, I’ve picked up some great vintage jewellery at local charity shops...so beautiful & so cheap!

If you could go on a road trip with any person (dead or alive), who would you choose and where would you go?

Elle: South America is next on my travel wish list. I’d go with my boyfriend; we’ve had an incredible couple of years traveling together.

What is your favorite springtime snack?

Elle: Avocado & Vegemite on toast. Yum.

People would be surprised to know that I...

Elle: Have crazy small feet!

I can't live without...

Elle: Lists...I make lists for my lists; they help clear my head and get me through a busy day.

My go-to product in my beauty arsenal:

Elle: Its got to be Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream. A friend introduced me to it years ago & I’ve never looked back.

Last skill I learned:

Elle: How to cook Moroccan lamb casserole. Surprisingly it turned out pretty well...My culinary skills are somewhat lacking!
