Amy flying a kite is a blog about the exploration of nature, color, poetry, and fashion through the eyes of an 18 year old girl. Amy uses her blog as a way of expressing dreams, daily musings, and documenting her bohemian fashions.

What do you do when you're not blogging? What is your job?

Amy: When I'm not blogging, I'm homeschooling...or writing poems..or listening to fiddles, banjos, and guitars.

Who or what has been your greatest fashion influence?

Amy: nature, and fashion bloggers from Korea. I like the outdoor world. I like the colors of trees, dirt, hills, and plants. I like wearing earthy colors--- I admire bloggers from Korea, they have so much femininity and whimsy in their outfits.

Three things in your closet you cannot live without:

Amy: My brown fur vest, my black floppy hat, and my wedges from Korea!

What are you currently grooving to?

Amy: Big Cheeseburgers and good french fries by Blaze Foley, The Devil is real by The Felice Brothers, and Illegal Smile by John Prine.

What 5 items do you always have in your purse?

Amy: Bright pink lipstick, wide tooth comb, bubble gum, roll on perfume, money.

What are key pieces from your wardrobe that you find yourself wearing over and over?

Amy: Fur vests, fur jackets, fur boots.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Amy: dipping french fries in ice cream

What words do you live by?

Amy: "I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think."

Three things that are always in my fridge:

Amy: almond milk, carrots, and cheese.

What's your latest obsession?

Amy: Buying more records for the music room in my house.

Your most prized possession?

Amy: My banjo

What is your favorite thing to do on a lazy Sunday?

Amy: sleep all day.
