An Interview with Tina of T Minus, T Plus

Tina is an attorney by day and a fashion and style blogger by night. She started blogging in 2009 as a way to find motivation to stay stylish in the corporate field and to hopefully lose a little weight in the process. Now T Minus, T Plus helps readers know that they can look great at any size and in any environment.

This interview was published on Thursday, August 04, 2011.

What do you do when you're not blogging? What is your job?

Tina: I am a corporate litigation attorney.

3 fun facts about you:

Tina: 1) I'm addicted to all things zombie, dinosaur, and post-apocolyptic. 2) I once rode my bicycle 500 miles across the state of Iowa. 3) Before I became a lawyer, I used to work in the film industry.

What are you currently grooving to?

Tina: I mostly listen to NPR rather than music, but when I do listen to music, I really like Pitbull.

Biggest style splurge and/or deal:

Tina: In a single trip to Goodwill, I once picked up two pairs of Manolo Blahniks in my size for $5 each. Score!

In your opinion, every woman should own:

Tina: Something cute yet comfortable to lounge around the house in. I love T-shirt type dresses to keep me as comfortable as wearing sweats, and I know that it won't matter who pops over without notice b/c I still look cute.

What are key pieces from your wardrobe that you find yourself wearing over and over?

Tina: Since I work in a conservative business attire office, I wear traditional pieces like a black pencil skirt every week. I also wear a lot of wrap dresses as a way to stay professional and inject color and pattern into my outfits.

4 things you can't live without:

Tina: My family, fried chicken, Netflix, the internet.

If you could go on a road trip with any person (dead or alive), who would you choose and where would you go?

Tina: I would go anywhere with my sister. We weren't raised together so it's only as adults that we get to spend much time together. I would love to just spend as much time with her as possible.

On the first day of hot weather, you'll find me:

Tina: on the patio of my favorite Mexican restaurant, drinking a margarita in the sun.

Three things that are always in my fridge:

Tina: apple, clementines, and string cheese.

When I want to look cute, I put on...

Tina: a big smile.
