An Interview with Tanvi of tanvii.com

Hi! I am Tanvi from tanvii.com where I blog about everything from food to fitness, for last 2 years. Fashion has accidentally become the crux of my blog and now I post my outfits from days when I bother to change into something other than work out clothes or pajamas! I am originally from New Delhi, India but right now reside in Texas, U.S. with my husband.

This interview was published on Wednesday, June 29, 2011.

Who or what has been your greatest fashion influence?

Tanvi: O.o It is hard to pin point at anything specific. I think my sense of fashion has evolved with me and has been influenced my almost everything - cities, weather, celebrities and now bloggers!

Three things in your closet you cannot live without:

Tanvi: I am pretty much attached to everything. Cannot play favorites with my babies! :)

3 fun facts about you:

Tanvi: 1. I wash my hair everyday 2. I do not use any make except on special occasions 3. I own more than 200 pairs of shoes! (Oopss!)

What inspires you?

Tanvi: Again, everything! Weather, Nature, A good heart-to-heart talk, Quotes, Beautiful pictures ... like I said, everything!

How are you able to stay fashionable without spending a lot of $$? What are your tips and where do you shop?

Tanvi: I do not buy anything that I cannot see myself wearing at least 3-5 different times. I always check out the SALES first before browsing the FULL-PRICED items. And I never follow trends blindly.

In your opinion, every woman should own:

Tanvi: A pair on comfortable high heels.

One trend you would like to never see again is:

Tanvi: Bare Mid-riff ... Probably less than 5 people in this world can carry it off, and I have not met them yet!

What 5 items do you always have in your purse?

Tanvi: Mobile Phone, Keys, Pen, Note Pad, and Hair Brush.

What are key pieces from your wardrobe that you find yourself wearing over and over?

Tanvi: A polka dot skirt, a well-fitted jeans, and a comfortable pair of shorts!

If you had a time machine that could take you back in time, what year would you go to and why?

Tanvi: I would go back to the time of Industrial Revolution. I find that era fascinating, full of inventions and creativity.

What crazy activities do you dream of trying someday?

Tanvi: Flying an airplane!

On the first day of hot weather, you'll find me:

Tanvi: In a Skirt or a pair of shorts!

Three things that are always in my fridge:

Tanvi: Spicy Indian Chutneys, Butter and Lemon Juice! Pretty random, right?
