An Interview with Jen of her waise choice
Jen is a 22-year-old personal style blogger based in Vancouver, Canada. She is a firm believer that girls can and should be stylish without being superficial, on trend without being slaves to fashion, and look good without looking down on others. Come say hi at her waise choice!
Who or what has been your greatest fashion influence?
Jen: If I had to single just one person out, it would be Olivia Palermo. She is elegant beyond her years and manages to set herself apart while maintaining a classic look.
Three things in your closet you cannot live without:
Jen: To be entirely honest I don't hold that much value to my material things, but with that being said, I love my leopard print pony hair mid-height heels (for days when I need to walk but still look put together), my new flared trench coat from Zara and my vintage Bally bag.
3 fun facts about you:
Jen: 1. I can be a bit of a bookworm 2. I can arch my back while lying on my stomach and touch my feet to my head and 3. I love being behind the camera too!
What are you currently grooving to?
Jen: I almost always switch it up between my favourites: James Morrison, Joshua Radin, Jack Johnson and Damien Rice.
How are you able to stay fashionable without spending a lot of $$? What are your tips and where do you shop?
Jen: I'm a huge fan of consignment and second hand shops and find no shame in getting something for an insane bargain!
In your opinion, every woman should own:
Jen: Neutral coloured pair of straight leg cropped trousers, crew neck white t-shirt, a cropped jacket, a simple cocktail dress, a piece of statement jewelry and a pair of shoes that make her feel pretty.
One trend you would like to never see again is:
Jen: Just one?! I guess it'd have to be drop-crotch pants- those don't look good on anyone!
What are key pieces from your wardrobe that you find yourself wearing over and over?
Jen: High waisted flared miniskirts, feminine blouses and anything leopard. It IS a neutral!
4 things you can't live without:
Jen: Treasured photos, camera, letters and cards from my boyfriend and okay.. I'll admit that I feel naked without my phone!
Do you have any comfort foods and what memories do you have associated with them?
Jen: Chicken wings, made any way, because my mom made the best ones while I was growing up!
On the first day of hot weather, you'll find me:
Jen: Wearing as little as (decently) possible. We don't get much warm weather her in Vancouver so it's to be cherished!
Three things that are always in my fridge:
Jen: Fruit, fruit and fruit! I sadly don't really like vegetables so I rely on fruit for my recommended serving.
