What do you do when you're not blogging? What is your job?

Marinela: I work as an editor, editing and writing abstracts for scientific papers concerning the plant sciences. That's mostly what I do when I'm not blogging. Other than that, I read, play with my pets, visit scenic places around town, sample local delicacies...

Marinela: 1. I own five pets. 2. I cannot dance. 3. In college, I was the only person in my volleyball class who had to take a "written exam" aside from the practical one because I sucked (and still do) at sports.

What is your favorite city to shop in?

Marinela: Makati City, Philippines. But I mostly do my shopping online.

Favorite item of clothing in your closet:

Marinela: My floral dress with a heart cutout detail at the chest.

How has your blog changed over the months/years?

Marinela: When I started blogging I wrote too few words and thought the photos should do the talking. Now I write to my heart's content, detailing every aspect of my outfit that I want to discuss with my readers.

In your opinion, every woman should own:

Marinela: High heels. Whether you're 5-foot or 6-foot tall, a pair of heels will ALWAYS make you look more beautiful and feel more powerful.

One trend you would like to never see again is:

Marinela: Tights as pants. It's just not right. I shudder every time I see pantylines and butt cheeks through those almost sheer tights.

What 5 items do you always have in your purse?

Marinela: 1. Cellphone. I feel detached to the world when I don't have my cellphone with me. 2. Compact mirror. 3. Lip balm. My lips are always dry. 4. Handkerchief. My mother wouldn't let me leave the house without a handkerchief. 5. Handy umbrella.

How long does it take you to decide on an outfit to post?

Marinela: When I am struck with an inspiration, I immediately look into my closet to see if I have pieces conforming to that inspiration. It usually takes me less than 5 minutes to put together an outfit.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Marinela: Chocolates. I cannot stop myself from eating lots and lots of chocolates.

Your most worn shoes:

Marinela: My 4-inch nude Parisian heels. The color goes with everything, and the height is just enough for everyday wear.

Your most worn piece of jewelry:

Marinela: Two rings from my boyfriend of 6 years.
