What do you do when you're not blogging? What is your job?

Allison: When I'm not blogging, I'm working at an engineering firm doing commercial real estate. Blogging, fashion, and shopping are always on my mind though! :)

Who or what has been your greatest fashion influence?

Allison: I grew up reading magazines like Vogue, Lucky, and Harper's Bazaar. These magazines are what sparked my love for fashion, but fashion blogs are now where I find the most inspiration!

What would be the one fashion tip you would give to a friend?

Allison: Never buy something just because it fits or because it is a brand name piece. You'll end up with a closet full of things you don't like!

What is your fantasy splurge?

Allison: A Miu Miu or Chanel handbag! I keep telling myself, "One day..."

Favorite item of clothing in your closet:

Allison: My favorite item of clothing in my closet is the perfect black blazer. fitted, classic, and perfect for dressed up or casual outfits!

Allison: Perfectly silky utility shirts from Old Navy! Less than $30 each!

How are you able to stay fashionable without spending a lot of $$? What are your tips and where do you shop?

Allison: NEVER pay full price for something when you can get it for less! Online, shop sites like ideeli, hautelook, gilt, and always search for coupon codes before completing a purchase! In store, sign up for rewards (if they have them), and email notifications for first dibs on sales!

In your opinion, every woman should own:

Allison: Every woman should own an LBD (Little Black Dress), LBB (Little Black Blazer), and jeans that make your "assets" look amazing!

What are key pieces from your wardrobe that you find yourself wearing over and over?

Allison: Skinny jeans, high-waisted skirts, and crisp white button down shirts! Can't forget my blazer--it goes with everything!

How long does it take you to decide on an outfit to post?

Allison: 20-30 minutes, depending on whether or not it works out on my body the way it worked out in my head!
