'Paris' is the ultimate fashion destination of the world. The fashion shows held in Milan are world famous. The dream of every aspiring and struggling model is to walk the ramp on any of the Paris Fashion Weeks. Once a model walks the ramp in Paris, then she is being highly sought after. The inhabitants are also fashion conscious and they mostly dress according to the changing trends.

Personally, I prefer New York fashion rather than the fashion shows put up in Paris. I just like the whole set up and co-ordination of the New York Fashion Weeks. The designers do marvelous jobs and the work is praiseworthy. Here, the outfits that the models sport on ramp are down to earth comapred to the ones displayed in the Paris fashion weeks.

Fashion is fashion. I don't care where they did the ramp as long as the items are wearable and lovely!!:)

New York is also my top fashion destination choice, but oddly enough, I'd love to go to Japan for a fashion hunt as well. They can be so trendy at times, and it's a different sort of fashion from the ones you see in the west.

I agree with bailey here. Paris is the ultimate fashion destination but for fresh, new ideas, I look to Japan. Heck, even American and European designers themselves always look for ideas in Japan. Parisian style is chic but it's always a lot of black. Japan is anything goes.

The cool thing with the Japanese is that they take various elements from the fashion abroad and mix it into their own. It may look weird at first, but after a while, they look so cool. The odd thing about it is, no one but the Japanese call pull the look quite as well! :D

I think is would be nearly impossible to list one place as the BEST for fashion, especially becuase fashion is so a "to each his own" territory.
It would be great to have one place though that house fashions from all different parts of the world. A building where each room representated a different country....could you imagine!?

That probably won't fit into a building, unless it's as wide as the Pentagon and as high as the Empire State Building. It would be a fun place to visit though. It would be like a huge museum-slash-shopping mall. My savings would seriously be drained and I'll bet I won't even make it halfway through. :)

That's a good idea! Kind of like a fashion expo?
