Im not sure if this is green or not, but it sure does make the world a better place.
I actually first came across this company in an AT&T commercial. Its called Tom's Shoes. It's a company that makes canvas shoes and for every pair of shoes that gets purchased, the company donates a pair of shoes to children in need (usually in developing countries.) Its a really great company with adorable shoes. Check them out:

what do shoes have anything to do with AT&T commercials? Just curious.

Haha Im not sure, on the commerical someone who works for Toms said that he needed a reliable network that worked all around the world since he traveled to give these children shoes. It sparked my interest and I started doing a little research on the company!

i got it ... it is product placement cleverly planted in a public service annoucement.
speaking of canvas shoes, i think they were out of fashion for a long time until a few years ago. i must have read it somewhere. maybe i can dig up the article.

I love Tom's. I have a pair of purple ones :]
When I first got them, though, people were not afraid to tell me how ugly they think Tom's are. Yeah, rude. But you just gotta wear 'em with confidence and rock them with or without everyone else's approval.
Plus, they are super comfy. They have great arch support, which I really appreciated at my on-my-feet-all-day retail job.

I have a tom's shoes and it's very comfortable to wear especially when your wearing high waist short shorts it will definitely look great ;) it's really a nice fashion trend. Try it I will assure you that it's worth it ;)

You're right I have a tom's to you know nad it's really very comfortable ;) Hope to have more tom's for me to feel more comfortable and to be in a high fashion trends ;) We have the same sense of fashion when it comes to tom's :)

It's become quite popular here recently, following the footsteps (pardon the pun) of Sanuk and Crocs. I have a pair, and I like how comfortable they are on my feet. They also have a lot of nice designs, and I like the principle of them donating one shoe for ever pair purchased. I'd love to hear more about the people they've already helped.

I love Tom's! I bought several pairs for me, my nieces and nephews and I had our names embroidered on each pair.

Ooh, you can have that done? Does Toms do that for you or did you have your shoes embroidered somewhere else?
