I was so shocked to see these latest pictures of Vanessa Hudgens. These aren't really her of course but a made-over BB V. She's playing a pregnant homeless teen in the movie "Gimme Shelter".

She looks so different!

Wow. They did a great job on her makeup, hair and clothes. If she walked down the street in that getup, I'm sure no one will recognize her.

Oh my gosh, this is the first I've heard of this! That is incredible! I can totally tell it's her now that you say it but like you said you DEFINITELY wouldn't know if you saw her on the street. She's such a natural beauty otherwise! It seems like a lot of actresses take on these transformative roles in order to be taken more seriously for their acting ability and that's usually what ends up happening (like with Charlize Theron in Monster and Mariah Carey to a lesser degree in Precious) I hope this will be a great move for Vanessa's career - it's definitely  a challenge that takes careful execution to escape the Disney image in the RIGHT way (avoiding the britney/lindsay/now-miley route)

She kind of fell off the bandwagon already with those naked pics from 3-4 year ago. But if anything, those pics made her even more famous.

I'm looking forward to see how her acting has developed in this movie. She hasn't really had any demanding roles in the past. I wonder if this'll be her "Charlize Theron in Monster" moment?

Good job for the transformation! She looks totally different now. Uh-oh, the wavy hair that I envy is lost. The pierced lip is not real, right? What's the title of this movie and when is the showing on theaters? This movie is interesting to watch.

The movie is called "Gimme Shelter". Not sure when it's showing but you can check IMDB.

She looks very different! I definitely agree with you. If she walks on the street with this kind of look, nobody will notice her unless you are told so. Wink
