Would you ever wear a short white dress to your wedding? Most women would rather wear a long flowy dress that makes them feel like a princess… How about these short skimpy white wedding dresses?

Traditional gowns seem okay for me but I've also thought of maybe wearing a short wedding dress on that special day. Short gowns are more comfortable for me and it would be much easier to move around with. I'd be able to dance around freely without worrying about stepping on the gown's train. Although I still have to consider a lot of things before finally deciding about it and I guess I won't be married too soon! Hehe

How about having the best of both worlds? You can get married in a more traditional, longer gown then wear a short, really modern white gown for the reception... That’s win or win, right?

That's actually a great idea! I've seen someone do this, and it allowed her to party more during the reception. It was actually a nifty idea of her to make the long skirt detachable so it was the same dress with two styles. I wish I got a picture of it though. It was back when I wasn't into photography.

A short dress would actually be awesome!

A friend of mine just got married recently and she wore a short dress. But then, she's also not that tall so maybe the designer thought that she would drown in a big poufy dress. Good choice I say, she looked so gorgeous on her wedding day.

Yes, a short dress for a petite person is definitely a unique way of flaunting what you’ve got (or don’t)… well she could wear sky-high heels then hide them in a long gown but then she’d be uncomfortable. A short dress is a nice alternative…

Marilyn that’s a great idea, wearing both a short and a long dress for a wedding! If I ever had difficulty choosing between two gowns, I’d probably just purchase them both – wear one nuptials and another for the reception!

Some wedding dress lines are taking advantage of this idea and creating specific dresses that convert to both!

Check it out!
