I think aviators are gorgeous and are must haves. I own a pair of Ray Ban aviators and I should say that it's one of my favorite sunnies. Not just that it's fashionable but it's also comfortable to wear. It also matches almost any get up. So I think you should really have a pair and when you do, don't hesitate to share with us here a picture of you and your aviators :)

Get one. It's a very timeless piece of sunglasses. My dad got one nearly 30 years ago and he still has it. It doesn't look old either. Sometimes I borrow it and it goes well with almost everything I wear. :D

How much do Ray Ban aviators go for nowadays anyways? I'm thinking of getting a pair, but wouldn't a cheaper brand work just as well? Or do Ray Bans last a lifetime and are worth the investment?

While things will last a long time depending on how you take care of them, I really believe that Ray Bans are a class of their own. The quality of their work has been consistent, and the style pretty much crosses all boundaries.
Also it isn't just about how it looks. I'm not sure if Ray Ban has some sort of technology on their lenses that really help one's eyes be protected from the sun's glare.

I got one from Mango (MNG) a replica (sort of) of that of an Aviator but, the feel is different, the wire used is easily bent. A friend got hers from the U.S. well she bought 3 pairs and she is selling them for Php6,000, more or less 140USD (based on my conversion). Well a rayban is a rayban.

In my view I think Ray-Ban is the best brand for sunglasses worldwide. Not only it is famous for styles but also for quality. I have had them for so long and I never had any problem with them. When I wear them I feel so comfortable.

I lose sunglasses easily and don't really take care of them so Ray Ban might not be the brand for me. It would be if I had money to burn but because I wouldn't want to even if I did, I'm sticking to the cheaper brands!

If you're looking for a cute pair of sunglasses but don't want to shell out for Raybans in particular, I found this slideshow of 10 of the cutest pairs of sunglasses you can get for under $15 !! It's always good to have some cheap ones lying around that you won't be super anxious about breaking or anything if you just throw them in the bottom of your purse - if you check out the slideshow, the Vans aviators (#3) are almost exactly the same style as the pair made by Rayban!
